Derek became a senior advisor to CD&R in 2024. He joined CD&R in 2003 and was a Partner from 2016 to 2023. He played a key role in the Firm’s investments in agilon health and Drive DeVilbiss Healthcare, as he did for CD&R’s prior investments in AssuraMed, Carestream Dental, Envision Healthcare, PharMEDium, SmileDirectClub and VWR International. Previously, he worked in the investment banking division of Morgan Stanley and at York Capital Management, a multi-strategy investment firm. Derek is a member of the Emory College Alumni Board. Derek has an M.B.A. from Columbia Business School and B.A., economics, from Emory University.
